German automaker finally breaks their silence and reveals their upcoming entry into the small coupe market. In the Geneva Auto show, Audo officially unveils the new 2016 Audi TT and along with it comes a whole new range of possibilities in the ever evolving car industry. 2016 Audi TT is sporting heavy refreshment from its predecessor that released in 2006, and is expected to boast a plethora of upgrades in terms of both looks and performance. This new addition to the already existing coupe family will surely make the line up a stunner in the automobile market.
2016 Audi TT: Redesign Exterior and Interior
Majority of this car’s exterior panel are made of high-quality aluminium and weight of the entire body is said to be of just 608 pounds, which is a significant accomplishment for the German automaker. Contrary to the current model, the new generation 2016 Audi TT is set to be around 100 pounds lighter and 25 percent stiffer. Needless to mention, the lighter weight of this car will allow for better fuel economy. As far as power is concerned, the car has something to offer in this department as well. The old engine has been replaced with a new 2.0 litre TDI capable of producing up to 184 HP while the gasoline paired 2.0 engine is capable of producing a maximum of 310 HP. According to Audi, the car can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in only 5.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph. The car will be available in the U.S. market with a 6-speed dual-clutch auto transmission and have standardised all-wheels drive facility.
