Following the highly successful run of Corvette Z06 models, General Motors has finally decided on coming up with a successor – 2016 Corvette z07. It was originally introduced in 1953 as high performance sports car and is available in 2 door convertible & coupe variants. The model was originally designed as a convertible by star automobile designer – Harley Earl. Also, it is currently manufactured & assembled in the Bowling Green Manufacturing unit in Kentucky, United States. 2016 Corvette z07 most drastic upgrades are reflected in its exterior design – that is notably a cross between its preceding line up Corvette Z06 & Corvette Stingray C7. Also, the model has undergone significant weight loss considering it upgrade to aluminum & carbon fiber based chassis. Also, coupled with its aerodynamic design & large wheel makes it difficult for other models to compete with this car. It is also important to note that next generation 2016 Corvette z07 will be available in various trim levels – it features a newly introduced “high performance” package that packs together many additional exclusive aero- dynamic components.
Apart from its highly dynamic exterior, 2016 Corvette z07 features a luxurious & spacious interior that can comfortably accommodate a total of 2 adult passengers. Other notable additions to its interior cabin include premium Nappa leather based interior lining in addition to a newly installed heads up display module, an updated infotainment system designed by MyLink. The entertainment module can be further controlled by a center console that has a comprehensive list of buttons that go along with its sophisticated interior. One should also take note that, next generation also features a multi display module for its infotainment & navigation systems.

2016 Corvette z07 is truly incomparable in terms of engine performance – it has been provided with a 6.2L, twin turbo charged petrol based V8 cylinder engine that has an overall power output of about 600HP. The small size of the engine is also an added advantage since it helps in reducing curb weight & fuel consumption and adds to fuel efficiency. The engine has been further paired with a Tremec TR-6070 manual 7 speed power transmission system that will be further updated to a Hydramatic 8 speed automatic system.and is noted to have a better EPA measured fuel economy compared to its preceding Corvette Z06 model.

2016 Corvette z07 has, in fact, a lot of famed competitors including Ferrari 458, Porsche 911 Turbo, Audi R8, Nissan GT-R, SRT Viper, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG-GT. Many industry insiders speculate that it will be released for purchase later this year as a 2016 model. Also, its price is estimated to start from $ 100 000 whereas its predecessor Corvette Z06 was priced at about $ 76 000. One should note that the model is gearing up for a brand debut at the 2015 Auto Show scheduled to be held in Detroit in Michigan, USA.
