The Nissan GT-R production car, definitely will not need any introduction as it has been highly successful in its homeland in Japan and international grounds as well. The Nissan GT-R enthusiast were blown away when the production of GT-R R35 was launched back in December 2007. Short after the success of the GT-R 35, Nissan has decided to launch it’s new racing breed champion the 2017 Nissan GTR R36. A huge amount of tweaking and updates will be made available to fulfill the new GT-R family legacy. The all-new GT-R comes with a new and unique feature that has never been done on previous GTR’s such as a hybrid powertrain although at the same time still promising enthusiast that it will still be equipped with a turbocharged engine. Odds are the 2017 Nissan GTR R36 will be packed with a V8 engine.
2017 Nissan GTR R36 Design
It shouldn’t be more on the elegant side but brutal according to Nissan’s chief creative officer, Shiro Nakamura. One of the most distinctive changes this new GT-R has made is its remodeled nose. The GT-R comes with a new boomerang style headlamps and also other big changes that Nissan has made to the GT-R would is the lower side sills. Although these changes aren’t confirmed the sills are designed to channel the air towards the rear brake ducts. The exterior design is mostly based on the Nissan 2020 Vision Gran Turismo Concept which is a prototype that looks to have a promising future as well. It appears that Nissan has decided to lower the roofline in this model. Not much speculation has been made for the interior of the GTR, but it will definitely have some serious updates and improvements to be able to live up to its already legendary line-up of productions.
Nissan has also taken a brave move by choosing to change their signature taillights which are usually round and have chosen to look more like a Mitsubishi Evo taillight. A more aggressive aerodynamics and rear steering are expected for the new look of the GT-R. With these huge tweaking and a more sexy look than the more expensive LF-A, The 2017 Nissan GTR R36 is definitely heading the right direction when it comes to pricing their new product. Nissan has provided an estimated price north of $200.000 for the 2017 Nissan GTR R36. Which is a very confident move considering that one of its biggest rivals the NSX is right around the corner as well.
Enthusiast will not have to wait for long for the also called “Godzilla” which is a nickname given for the GT-R series. The expected release date should be at Spring 2016 although there may be delays if the engineers are still not satisfied with its performance. One thing is for sure, the 2017 Nissan GTR R36 will be worth the wait and as usual never disappointing. The new Nissan GT-R will be the dream of every tuning and supercar enthusiast around the world resembling an automotive masterpiece.
