The 2018 Volvo XC60 is all set to roll out in the in the 2017 Geneva Auto Show, and there are speculations of it getting a great interior décor. Thomas Ingenlath, the designer chief of Volvo has stated that they will take the next step forward for their in-cab presentation. There are also rumors that this new Volvo XC60 version will even present Q5 its biggest rival a run for their money.
2018 Volvo XC60 Redesign Styling
This new Volvo XC60 2018 is set to come out in an entirely new form. Some even state that the design will have similarities to XC90 version. Automakers have indicated that its front aspect will have attractive chromed grille incorporating T-shaped headlights Thor’s Hammer headlights. Accompanying these T-shaped LEDs will be interesting fog lights and daytime lighting systems.
Attractive lines and curves in its sides will present this model with a more appealing look. The roofline of this model is pronounced more towards the rear. Its back end will have newly designed taillights, and that gives this new model a sportier and aggressive look.
Usage of aluminum and carbon fiber will help curb down the weight and enhance its velocity.
Interior specifications of the 2018 Volvo XC60
The cabin will have all the comforts and luxury which one expects from Volvo models. The design will be dominated by a large portrait of a touchscreen. Inspired by the XC90 and S90 the 2018 Volvo XC60 will also replace all traditional analog dials and make way for digitized ones.
Another adoption from the XC90 will be the dash design integrated with Android Auto, 9-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Volvo Pilot Assist II. The front seats made from heated leather will utilize fully adjustable as per the needs of passengers. Safety features include- Anti-collision system, rear-view360, Anti-theft alarm, tire-pressure gauging etc.
2018 Volvo XC60 Engine Output
It’s tested model incorporated a 2.0-liter gasoline T5 engine, and that is likely to stay in this new 2018 Volvo XC60 model. The estimated power yield seen in the testing phases was around 240 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Another engine with a supercharged option is also possible. The potential power yield for that would be 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.
In Europe, there are a couple of diesel options too. The rest of the engine details are still unknown and will become apparent with time.
This new Volvo XC60 is a splendid SUV, and its competition may come from other top brands namely Audi Q5 and BMW X3. These models have been equally well made and hence the competition will prove to be a fascinating one.
2018 Volvo XC60 Price and Release Date
There is very little information regarding the launch date. No confirmation has come from the automakers. However, some tipsters are saying that the model might come out by 2018. As for its price, the estimated price of this model is believed to be around $42,000.
